Mirror Work To Strengthen Self-Image
Frequently Asked Questions About Mirror Work
Q: What if I feel uncomfortable during mirror work?
That’s normal and expected. As your shadow becomes more present, discomfort may arise—and that’s exactly what we transform. You’ll be guided every step of the way, first into heart coherence where your mind softens, your heart opens, and your nervous system relaxes, so you can safely lean into the edges with compassion for all parts of yourself.
Q: Does mirror work work for body image and appearance insecurities?
Absolutely. This isn’t about changing your body, it’s about changing how you see it. Bringing acceptance, compassion, and care to every part of yourself, learning to experience your body’s beauty from a deeper, more expansive place, beyond the narrow ideals imposed by society.
Q: Do I need special tools for mirror work?
Just a mirror, preferbly that shows your whole body and a quiet space. Your mirror becomes your altar.
Q: Can I do Mirror Work while in therapy?
Yes. It complements therapy beautifully and does not replace professional care for trauma or depression.
Q: Isn’t this just more “love yourself” advice?
No. We use a specific, science-backed technique called heart coherence that changes self-perception at a nervous system, and neurological level. No 'love yourself more' talks, but a real, guided activation with lasting transformation.
Q: How much time does mirror work take per day?
To start just 20 minutes .Less than you spend scrolling on your phone. And did you know on average we are already spending 55+ minutes a day in front of the mirror for functional use, like hair and make-up + checking (or critising) our appearance in the mirror. When you sink deeper into the practice time will melt-away and you're expanding your mirror work sessions into +1HR.
